Bastion Point & North Shore 2012 Community Planting Days

If you can’t make it to any of our own community planting days – you may be able to support the myriad of other planting days around Auckland. The Council, often in conjunction with volunteer groups, and Ngati Whatua are organising the following community planting days this winter. Get out and support them!

Bastion Point – Orakei

Help plant trees on one of Auckland’s most stunning locations. Travel up to the Point and look for people carrying spades.

Whenua Rangatira – Saturday 26 May starting at 10am.
Whenua Rangatira – Saturday 30 June starting at 10am.
Whenua Rangatira – Saturday 28 July starting at 10am.
Whenua Rangatira – Saturday 25 August starting at 10am.

North Shore area

Kauri Glen – Sunday 24 June starting at 10am. Meet at Kauri Glen Oaks entry off Gladstone Road or via the far end of Mahuta Grove.

Admirals Court – Sunday 24 June starting at 10am. Meet at the end of Maryann Place in Greenhithe for a hillslope planting.
