Are you interested in finding out how to collect, use and re-use water in your home?
Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre is holding a Green Building Seminar on water at their centre at 17 Lauderdale Road, Birkdale on Thursday 27 February from 7.00-8.30pm.
Guest speaker Eion Scott, eco-design advisor with Auckland Council, will explain the three different sorts of waters that are used in our homes, and how each can be saved in house improvement projects large and small.
“Dropping your water usage has never been so well-rewarded” says Mr Scott. “With half of our water bills now going towards wastewater treatment, you get double payback on any savings you make, whether it’s putting in a $2 flow restrictor on your shower, or a $200 rain barrel for your garden.”
The talk will be for an hour, followed by a half-hour question-and-answer session, so bring your questions about your particular property.
Space is limited so please register if you wish to attend – $5 per person. You can do this online atwww.kaipatiki.org.nz/courses or by phoning Kaipatiki Project on 482 1172.
