Welcome to Ecofest North
Living sustainably for te ao, te whanau, ki ahau – for the world, the family and for me
Ecofest North offers a month of fun, practical, creative events that guide residents of the greater North Shore on their journey to living more sustainably.
Kicking off with a massive family fun day at their Birkdale bush HQ on 14 March, festival co-ordinators Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre bring together an exciting mix of community events from the North Shore up to Matakana, March 14 – 12 April 2015.
Ecofest North rolls out home-spun and expert tips, talks and workshops that will inspire us all to live better, profiles community-building races, challenges and fun days that promote care for our neighbourhoods, and showcases some of the awesome positive environmental actions already transforming our wild and urban nature-spaces.
Over the first three weeks of Ecofest there will be a huge online event, the Sustainable Whanau Challenge – a chance for Aucklanders to win over $8,000 worth of prizes simply by taking small sustainable steps in their daily routines.
Ecofest North is supported by Auckland Council and proudly sponsored by Ray White North Shore. It is co-ordinated for the third year running by Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre.
