Winners in Canon Environmental Awards 2015

5th October 2015 | Nicky Davis

Kaipatiki Project has been selected as the winner of the Community category in this year’s canon imageCanon Environmental Awards – an annual programme of awards and grants operated by Canon Oceania across Australia and New Zealand. In NZ, submissions came from as far as Kaitaia in the north to way down in Stewart Island.

The awards aim to recognise and reward environmental projects that are having a positive impact on the environment. With the Award comes an in-kind grant of $5,000 of Canon products.

Responding to the win, Hamish Hopkinson (Manager at Kaipatiki Project) said “The team are thrilled about this award, which we share with each and every person who has ever volunteered their time to either grow a plant or pull a weed with us. Collaboration is the name of the game for us, and we also thank restoration partners like Forest & Bird North Shore, who choose plants grown at Kaipatiki Project to complement their awesome restoration efforts”.
