Join an organisation whose mission since 1998 has been to inspire the community to live sustainably!

We are seeking two new members to join our volunteer Board to help us find new ways of doing things, increase our impact and deliver on our strategic goals. Ideally you will have governance experience and/or expertise in any of the following areas:

  • Sustainability strategy
  • Marketing & Communications
  • Innovation & Design
  • Ecology
  • Restoration

What is special about Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre?

The only North Shore environmental organisation offering weekday volunteering opportunities at two community native plant nurseries

Produces 30,000 eco-sourced native plants annually either for its own community planting projects or for other restoration groups

Works closely with Ngāti Whātua to adopt and maintain a healthy, chemical-free kaupapa running through all of its restoration activities

Aims to protect and restore over 70 hectares of native bush in Birkdale

Delivers quality courses, workshops and events from its North Shore base and across the Auckland region

Is able to operate its main centre and nursery space with the generous support of Kaipatiki Local Board
