EcoFest North and EcoWest 2018 are on the horizon!
Kaipatiki Project will be coordinating this month long series of sustainability themed events in conjunction with our ‘westie besties’ EcoMatters over the period 17 March – 15 April 2018. EcoFest North and EcoWest will run across the North Shore and West Auckland respectively, and will include a number of key stone events such as Kaipatiki Project’s annual Eco Fun day at our centre in Birkdale in March, an evening of enviro banter called ‘Totally Sustainable Talks’ in April, and EcoMatters’ fantastic Eco Day festival in New Lynn on Sunday 15 April.
However, the festivals also aim to support and promote a wide range of educational courses and community-led events. So, if you belong to an environmental or community group, this is an ideal time to programme an event, as Kaipatiki Project and EcoMatters can help promote both your organisation and event (and therefore boost public participation!) via our festival programmes, marketing and social media channels.
Perhaps you belong to a local restoration group that has been talking about organising a bush or estuary clean up for ages? Or maybe you have a group of friends that would like to host a sewing bee to make cool upcycled clothes and bags? What about a fruit and vege swap in your local neighbourhood? Or is there a course you’ve always wanted to do – like making your own natural beauty and laundry products?
If you have an event that you would like included in the EcoFest North 2018 programme, please complete the following form:
The deadline for submitting events for the printed EcoFest North 2018 programme is Monday 29 January 2018 (as the festival will be published in mid to late February).
