Verran Eskdale Restoration Group

A community 'weeds-to-natives' project

2017 Working Bee Dates
1st Sunday of the month 1pm - 3pm

VERG (Verran Eskdale Restoration Group) is an established group of locals keen to look after their natural environment around the Eskdale stream network in Birkenhead.

With funding from Auckland Council, our Restoration Manager is advising and co-ordinating VERG volunteers to eradicate invasive weeds and, where necessary, replace them with natives. Further work will involve animal pest control and water-quality monitoring.

Weeding bees generally take place every first Sunday of the month (1-3pm) – updates on times and places will be posted here.

To register an interest in joining this project please phone 482 1172 or email us and we will add you to the VERG contact list.
