Join our food growing workshop during Conservation Week!
Learn to grow your own food at home for Conservation Week.
We at Kaipātiki Project gardens use organic, easy methods to grow delicious fruits and vegetables on a home scale. Join us for this workshop and learn how you can do the same for your whānau.
This event falls on Conservation Week. There is a strong connection between growing your own organic food at home, and conservation efforts worldwide which we hope to demonstrate with our teaching gardens. Organic gardens are not harmful to native wildlife or to groundwater supplies, the way that other chemical-based gardens can be. Growing your own food at home reduces demand on industrial farming practices, which can be harmful to the environment and surrounding eco-systems.
