Bring your kids along for nature play, learning and creativity at Kaipātiki Project!
Part of our kids school holiday activities, this workshop is suitable for children age 5+ with their accompanying parent or adult caregiver.
What to expect on the day:
- Enjoy a guided walk through Eskdale Reserve and our gardens
- Create a botanical art piece to take home, choose from:
- Flower hammering
- Nature water colours
- Pressed flowers
- Stone/ block collaging
- Free flow creative time
What we will learn about:
- Learn about the local ngahere/ forest on our guided walk
- Learn about plants and Tīkanga (practices and values from mātauranga Māori)
- Learn new nature-based craft ideas
What is included in the ticket:
- Tea and coffee for the grown ups!
- All art materials, including flora and compostable glue are included.
