At Kaipātiki Project, we often talk about planting seeds — not just in the soil, but in hearts and minds. Recently, we’ve had the privilege of seeing those seeds take root in the most inspiring way.
We’ve been working with business students from Glenfield College, who chose us as their preferred charity for a school project. Their passion for sustainability and community impact has been nothing short of uplifting.
One group, Ata Mārie, is selling beautifully crafted shampoo bars designed to reduce plastic waste. Even more inspiring, they’ve committed to donating 15% of their profits to support our work. Another group, Bee Tidy | Bee Green, is promoting the use of sustainable beeswax wraps — a simple yet powerful alternative to single-use glad wrap.
Both groups recently presented their products and the vision behind them at our EcoHub, sharing their ideas with our volunteers and staff. Their energy, creativity and commitment to looking after the environment left us feeling incredibly proud and hopeful.
We encourage you to support these rangatahi and their sustainable products — not just for what they’re selling, but for the values they’re growing. You can find their products at our EcoHub or online:
Let’s continue to nurture these young changemakers and the future they’re helping to build — one wrap, one bar, one tree at a time.
