Guided Nature Walk in Eskdale Reserve

Join us for an insightful nature walk at Eskdale Reserve, where we’ll explore how the natural environment supports flood resilience. Discover how features of the landscape help manage water flow and what steps you can take to help make space for water in our taiao.

This walk is perfect for anyone wanting to understand the power of nature in protecting us from floods and how small changes in our surroundings can have a big impact

This event is suitable for children 5+ years and we encourage the whole family to attend and take part in this event. Please note that all children must be supervised by an adult.

By learning more about our environment, we can better prepare for storms and build resilience together!

Hosted by Kaipātiki Project and proudly supported by Auckland Council’s Healthy Waters.

Community Flood Resilience

What if heavy rain didn’t mean flooding, but nature working as it should?

On Auckland’s North Shore, we're working to make that happen by keeping our streams healthy and resilient. Come along and be part of the change! You can get involved by joining our guided nature walks and stream clean ups, and staying tuned to our social media channels where we'll be sharing more actions that you can take at home and in your community.
