Volunteer with us

Join our environmental volunteering whānau to get up close with nature and work alongside our team and other local volunteers. From bush restoration, weeding and trapping to growing food and planting, there are many options to choose from. We offer flexible arrangements and a variety of roles including; project-based volunteering, corporate and community group volunteering, regular volunteering at a nursery, garden or reserve, operational, marketing and administrative support, community restoration days, internship, training for restoration leaders and board governance. We strive to enable our community to easily volunteer and everyone is welcome to join, even if it is just to enjoy morning tea.

Working together, we are growing a sustainable future for people and nature. Give back to your community and feel the wonder of making a difference. When coming along please wear closed shoes, bring sunblock, sun hat, water and raincoat if it rains.

Everyone is welcome!

Every year, we propagate and pot up a massive 45,000+ native plants. Our volunteers use these plants in restoration activities all over Auckland’s North, helping to rescue the bush from invasive plants and restore homes for our native flora and fauna.

  • All ages are welcome - we love bringing different generations together.
  • You can volunteer regularly, or on a one-off basis.
  • We welcome people living with disabilities and have a dedicated member working with you.
  • We help people on all stages of their sustainable living journey – we’ll help you wherever you’re at.
  • We even give tertiary students and interns the volunteering experience they need for course requirements.
