Our Annual Multi-Venue, Multi-Host, Auckland-Wide, Greener than Green Festival

We're gearing up to host Auckland's highest impact environmental festival, with over 400 powerful community-led events this year!

From composting workshops to silent disco clean-ups, from food stalls to film nights — EcoFest has sustainability-focused events for every Aucklander — young or old, quiet or bold, eco warrior or eco newbie. Visit the EcoFest 2026 programme, and find your intrigue.

Calling All Hosts

It takes over 200 incredible event hosts to co-create EcoFest each year — which inspires over 25,000 Aucklanders to attend EcoFest events! As one of four EcoFest Support Hubs we, Kaipātiki Project, do our very best to:

Support our event hosts with resources to help run and promote successful events that reach a wider audience and have a deeper and lasting impact.
Promote EcoFest across Tāmaki Makaurau and reach over 800,000 people through our online channels — ensuring our hosts have the best chance of expanding their audience during the annual EcoFest month.
Offer opportunities for hosts to connect with our hub, with other hosts and with venue holders, and to build relationships that extend well beyond the festival.

The EcoFest Collaboration

For the fourth year running, EcoFest will be held Auckland-wide as a collaboration between EcoMatters Environment Trust (supporting West and Central Auckland Hosts), Kaipātiki Project (supporting North Auckland Hosts), Beautification Trust (supporting South and East Auckland Hosts) and Waiheke Resources Trust (supporting Waiheke and Gulf Islands Hosts).
