Join the movement for community climate action
The Tāmaki Makaurau Community Climate Action Network is a growing movement of people and organisations across the region who are strengthening climate action together. From food, transport and energy, to waste, water, ecological restoration and education, our region is full of passionate groups working hard for a thriving, climate-resilient future. CCAN exists to bring this wider movement together — to share ideas, uplift each other’s mahi, and amplify the collective impact of community-led climate action.
As one of the founding members of CCAN, Kaipātiki Project helps to hold the space for connection, collaboration and inspiration. We work alongside an incredible group of steering organisations including the Beautification Trust, EcoMatters, Waiheke Resources Trust, Forest & Bird, Kai West, Chinese Conservation Education Trust, Repair Network Aotearoa, Sustain & Enable, Bike Auckland, Waiuku Zero Waste, Auckland Council and other local leaders who care deeply about creating change that honours people and planet.
Together we host three hui each year, support groups to access opportunities and resources, share a quarterly regional newsletter, and build shared campaigns that strengthen our collective voice.
Get involved
Anyone working in community climate action — whether you're part of a local group, a volunteer, a hub, a school, a marae, a business or simply someone wanting to connect — is warmly welcome.
Join us at our hui, sign up for updates, meet others across the region, and help shape what coordinated, community-powered climate action looks like for Tāmaki Makaurau.
Let’s build the movement together.
