What is Every Bite?
Every Bite is helping New Zealanders make simple changes at home to waste less food and save more money. Join us to celebrate Food Appreciation Month this May!
Every Bite 2026: The Moxie Edition: Master the art of zero-waste cooking with Birkenhead’s finest!
The Challenge: The average NZ household throws away over $1000 of food every year. Every Bite is a community-led programme designed to help you reclaim that money and reduce your environmental footprint. This us our second year running this programme, and it's back BIG AND BETTER. This year spots are limited so grab friend and get in quick!
What’s New for 2026: We are taking you inside award-winning restaurant Moxie! This isn't just a cooking class; it’s an evening of inspiration at one of the Northshores most beloved dining spots. The Moxie team will demonstrate how to minimise waste without compromising on world-class taste. To make it even sweeter, we’ve partnered with Rescued Kitchen to provide a special dessert course for our launch night.
Following the launch night, you'll have everything you need, plus a weekly newsletter and community group to help keep you motivated!
To wrap the programme up, join us on Sunday May 24th for our second in-person event. Nuestra Cocina will lead an interactive workshop, Sustainabilit-Tea at our Birkdale Eco Hub, teaching you how to turn daily leftovers into world-class dips and seasonings.
Programme Schedule:
- April 28: (In-person) Launch Night at Moxie Restaurant (6-8 PM).
- April 29 - May 23: (From home) Guided at-home challenges and content via weekly newsletter and community chat.
