Bachelors button - Leptinella dioica

Leptinella dioica (also known as Cotula dioica), commonly called Bachelors Buttons, is a perennial herb native to New Zealand. This creeping plant has slightly fleshy, fern-like green leaves tinged with bronze. In spring and summer, it produces small yellow flowers nestled among the foliage. Growing to about 10 cm in height and spreading up to 70 cm wide, Leptinella dioica is well-suited as a low-maintenance groundcover. It works beautifully between rocks and pavers, in tropical-style gardens, or as edging around pool areas.
