A Wellington-born Pākehā of distant Irish extraction, Dan Kelly runs a food forest consultancy called Community Forestry Ltd. He is a papa of two, a doctoral candidate at the University of Auckland exploring the transformative potential of urban-grown food, and the kaiawhina for the syntropic food forest at Papatūānuku Kōkiri Marae.
