SPEAKER SERIES | Have you seen DUNE? Those worms are colossal—but did you know Aotearoa has its own giants? They might not be tractor-eating, but they’re impressive enough to spark your imagination!

Giant worms carve burrows over 2 metres deep and can grow to more than 1.5 metres long. Some even say they glow orange in the dark!

Finding a huge hole in the deep bush is one thing, but making sure what's in it is a whole other story. Join us on our voyage of discovery, looking for one of our most CRYPTIC species.
