Litter Clean-Up Ōrewa

LITTER CLEAN UP | Join us for a morning at the beach to pick up litter and save our marine ecosystems!

Every piece of plastic removed from our coastline is a win for the ocean, and the creatures that call it. Plus, there's nothing quite like getting your hands dirty with a good crew, breathing in that sea air, and leaving a place better than you found it.

We have teamed up with Sustainable Coastlines and Crywolf to make this event bigger and better! So come along, help us clean up the beach, enjoy a free lunch, and have the opportunity to win epic Crywolf gear!

Our Work as Clean Collective

What a great way to make a positive impact on the environment, right when the planet really needs you! Getting involved in litter collection and coastline care contributes to several of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals:

Turning Individual Actions into Collective Change

Litter doesn't just look bad — it breaks down into microplastics, enters our waterways, and harms the wildlife that depends on healthy coastlines and ecosystems. But here's the good news: every piece picked up is a piece that won't make that journey.

Through Clean Collective, we're building a culture of care for our local environment in three ways:

  • Encouraging individual actions — small, everyday choices that add up to real change
  • Organising regular community clean ups — bringing people together to take direct action on our beaches, streets, and green spaces
  • Raising awareness — helping our community understand the impact of litter and the best ways to combat it, and inspiring others to take part

Whether you join us for one event or become a regular face at our clean ups, you're part of something bigger.
