It’s also the Softball Season Open Day, so expect a lively, buzzing atmosphere, the perfect backdrop for celebrating active and sustainable travel.
The Travel Lightly Pop-Up brings together local changemakers helping our community travel smarter and more sustainably, because small shifts make a big impact!
What to expect on the day
- Bigfoot Adventures – Build bike confidence with balance bikes, mini jumps, and bikes for all ages to learn and use.
- Carpoolin App (Beta) – Meet founder Sav, try the app, and join a relaxed group Q&A at 10:15 am to chat about how carpooling can make a difference.
- Anyone Can Pedal – Got a flat tyre or a question about the best local trails? Rob’s your guy. Drop in for friendly tips and repair know-how.
- Lime e-Scooter Demos – Free for anyone 18+. Download the App, take a spin, and grab a discount for your first ride.
- Restoring Rosedale Park, Te Hōnonga a Iwi – Learn from Nicky and the team about their incredible work regenerating this beautiful green space, plant seedlings, listen and connect.
