Community Flood Resilience Celebration

Join us as we celebrate the incredible efforts that have strengthened community flood resilience over the past year.

This event is all about YOU—our volunteers, partners and supporters, who’ve made a real difference through stream clean-ups, restoration and planting events.

While connecting with others, explore these interactive stations:

  • Plant Corner – Learn what to plant near streams and how to spot invasive weeds
  • Image Wall – See our journey through photos
  • Flood Viewer – Check your property’s flood risk
  • Share ideas for “What’s next for our community?”
  • Nursery & Garden Tour – Discover where our plants come from

This is our way to say THANK YOU and reflect on the impact we’ve created together. Come connect, share stories and be inspired for what’s possible.

Refreshments provided.

About Community Flood Resilience

What if heavy rain didn’t mean flooding—but nature working as it should?

On Auckland’s North Shore, that's what we're working towards. Proudly supported by Auckland Council's Healthy Waters, our mission is to empower communities to get involved in caring for our local streams through safe, collaborative efforts, ensuring our waterways remain clean, healthy and flood-resilient.

Come along and be part of the change! You can get involved by joining our guided nature walks and stream clean-ups, and staying tuned to our social media channels, where we share more actions that you can take at home and in your community to increase flood-resilience.
