Stream Clean Up

WORKING BEE | Kaipātiki Ki Tai, Witheford Reserve

Join in and help us make space for water, to keep our streams safe, healthy and flood-resilient!

To be prepared  for potential flooding events, we will:

  • Clear fallen trees, debris and rubbish.
  • Regenerate the natural ecosystem by removing invasive plants.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy closed shoes, bring sunblock and sun hat if relevant and a reusable drink bottle. A reasonable level of mobility and the ability to follow simple instructions if necessary. Gloves are provided but are not personal, so you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.

Hosted by Kaipātiki Project and proudly supported by Auckland Council’s Healthy Waters.

If you're interested in this event, you may also like to join us for our 25 July Planting Day in the same reserve!

Community Flood Resilience

What if heavy rain didn’t mean flooding, but nature working as it should?

On Auckland’s North Shore, we're working to make that happen by keeping our streams healthy and resilient. Come along and be part of the change! You can get involved by joining our regeneration days and stream clean ups.
